I get it. Running a business whether online or in person can be exhausting, confusing, and just plain overwhelming. Factor in parenthood, juggling life in general, and all the conflicting information out there and the overwhelm can compound exponentially.

I've been entrenched in online and offline businesses for over 10 years and if I haven't experienced it myself or taken a course on it then I know a colleague who has. When I first started out I bootstrapped and DIY'd everything from websites, marketing, financials, and even the physical labor of demo and reno we did all by hand. It was incredibly fulfilling and also exhausting. Everywhere I turned there was someone saying that we had to run our business ‘this way' to be successful.

All this experience has allowed me to see that there is never a one size fits all option for any business.

Within my first year after graduating with my DPT I quit my first job, started an online blog and wellness  business, bought a yoga studio, started a cash PT practice, and learned the ins and outs of business the hard way. Whew…. I may have lost my mind that year.

There was no part of my college education that prepared me for owning a business. And I won't lie, it was not easy. There were a lot of long days with no breaks, tears, and feeling lost. 

Bootstrapping became my middle name. We learned to do everything from website build, local and online marketing, hiring 1099's and employees, and so much more.
